Katrina is a 21 year old national and international award winning singer/songwriter who is determined not to be ignored in the Australian music industry. A prolific songwriter with an interesting voice of unique quality, she is the “full package”. In March 2009 Burgoyne was awarded an APRA (Australian Performing Rights Association) Professional Development Award. The $12,000 grant sent her to music city Nashville, TN USA. Where Katrina spent a month writing for her much anticipated debut album due to be released in 2010. She claims that her influences are Patty Griffin, Joni Mitchell, Ryan Adams and “all the country divas”. Her highlights include appearances on “Mornings with Kerry-Anne”, “Sunrise”, The feature of her song “To Late For Sorry” on up and coming band “Chasing Bailey” (EMI Australia) debut album, and performances on Main Stage at the Gympie Muster 2005/2006. This zany, exciting young lady sparkles on stage and you will find yourself waiting for another original rather than a familiar cover song.....Simply magic!
